We Just Acquired…epaulettes from Caruso´s “Pinkerton” custome

Caruso: epaulettes from his custome as Pinkerton at Met Opera
Caruso: epaulettes from his custome as Pinkerton at Met Opera

We created a frame set with part of what was Caruso´s custome (the epaulettes) in “Madama Butterfly” at the Met Opera. These epauletttes where the original ones, part of his custome as Pinkerton. They were exhibited at the Peabody Museum a long time ago (a copy of a newspaper article is shown in one of the windows).

Frame also shows a copy of one of Caruso´s self caricatures, this one shows him as Pinkerton, in Madama Butterfly.

This frame set is not offered for sale.

Dec 28th: 5 Years of Tamino online!

It was exacty 5 years ago, Dec 28th, 2006 that our website at www.operacollectors.com opened!

It was a very simple start, with only 30 singer autographs and a few dozen programs, both signed and unsigned. No shopping cart or ecommerce, no blog, or currency conversion. Simple.

We have grown to a leading site for opera, classical music and ballet memorabilia fans with over 3,400 items – all in stock, real time – far more than 100 unique visitors per day and annual sales now in the six-digit range – almost six times more than our first year.

More importantly, we developed a new way to do business in music autographs and memorabilia, one where no item is too small or too big in price to deserve being listed. Add that we are collectors ourselves, so we do understand very well the collector´s mind and needs.

In 2012 we plan to expand our inventory online to nearly 5,000 items, so stay tuned!

All thanks to you, the music lover, the collector, the music lover´s friend or relative, looking for a gift – in other words, our customer.

Thank you, thank you for your constant support, your feedback. And happy holidays!
